Tonight the first gubernatorial debate of the general election will be broadcast live from Roosevelt High School in Portland.

The forum is called “The Debate for Oregon's Future” because all of the questions will come directly from young people, aged 12 to 19.

“I’m thrilled that we’ll hear directly from young people from all across the state at tonight’s debate,” said Governor Kate Brown. “All Oregonians deserve to have their voices heard on the issues that matter most to them -- and I can’t wait to hear what’s on the minds of these students.”

Tonight’s debate is sponsored by the Pamplin Media Group, Children First for Oregon and KOIN 6 News.
